News reached here last Saturday that Dr. J. R. Milburn had died that morning at 2:30 o'clock in a hospital in Dallas. He was for many years a citizen of Rusk, where he was universally loved and esteemed, and it was fitting that Rev. b. R. Bolton, his pastor here recieved the news.
We gathered from the remarks made by Rev. Bolton at the grave that Roland Milburn was born in Smith County, Texas, on Feb 18, 1859. He was married to Miss Katie Shook in 1886, and he leaves a wife, two daughters, three brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss. He was buried in the Rusk cemetery Sunday afternoon.---
