Lina was the way she spelled it, and the way it's spelled on her Marriage license. Born in Niederonz, Canton Bern, Switzerland. Came to the United States at the age of 12 in 1881. Died on September 17th, 1900 from a head injury inflicted by her husband. He then killed himself. Very tragic. The headstone says 1870 but according to a family geanology book, she was born in 1869. I believe this to be correct.
Lina's oldest son Adolph purchased these markers for his parents as an adult, and at the time he probably got his information from his Aunt Bertha, who remember the dates the best she could.
