From the Register Guard, May 1, 1951:
Funeral services for Walter Petersdorf, who was killed in a logging accident Saturday, will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Veatch Hollingsworth England Funeral Home.

Petersdorf, a hook tender for the Willamette National Logging Co. at Foster, was killed instantly Saturday afternoon when he was struck by a loose log. He had worked for the Booth-Kelly Lumber Company in the Mohawk area for many years.

Born in Junction City, April 26, 1900, to Hermann and Lina Petersdorf, he married Ona June McKay, April 26, 1926 in Eugene. He had been living at Star Rt. No. 2, Foster.

Surviving are his wife June; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Dunsmoor of Redmond; a son, Allan of Reedsport; a brother, Adolph of Junction City; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wolfe of Blachly, and Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey of Monroe; and two grandchildren

Interment will be held in Rest Haven Cemetery.
