MRS. JOHNNIE SKIDMORE
Funeral services were held in Senatobia on May 30 for Mrs. Johnnie Skidmore, 52, from the C.O. Pate Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Van Hooker and Rev. Gene McCarty of Marvell, Ark. officiated.

Mrs. Skidmore died May 28 at the Helena Hospital in Helena, Arkansas after a 3 month illness.

A native of Holmes County, she had made her home in Senatobia until she became ill and went to live with her daughter in Marvell, Arkansas. She was a member of the Hebron Methodist Church.

Mrs. Skidmore is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Van Carpenter of Marvell. Arkansas and Mrs. Gerald McEwen of Senatobia; one son, C.W. Skidmore of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Aaron Gantt of Lexington; and two brothers, Fred Hobson of Wichita, Kansas and E.S. Hobson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were Monroe Devine, Tommy Gantt, Donn, Gantt, Joe Hobson, Tommy Carpenter, and Mike Chapius.

Among those attending the funeral were Mrs. Daisy Rogers, Mrs. Willie Ruth Jones, Mrs. Dot Winstead, Mrs. Georgie Devine, Mrs. Pearl Devine, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Gantt, and children, Donny, Beth, Donna and Pam, all of Lexington, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Devine and Jon of McComb and Mrs. Martha Skelton and Mrs. Lou Taylor of Jackson.
