Raymond Hobson

Raymond Longino Hobson, 59 died at his residence in Lexington, Sunday.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29 at Hebron Methodist Church with the Reverend Dennis Johnson, assisted by the Reverend John Sproles and the Reverend Bob Nevels officiating. Interment was in Hebron Cemetery. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hobson was a native of Holmes County, the son of the late John Newton Hobson and Allie Ganey. He was employed by the State Highway Department, and a member of Hebron Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Miss Joyce Hobson of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Gantt of Lexington and Mrs. Johnny Skidmore of Senatobia; three brothers, Doc Hobson of Winona, Fred Hobson of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Eddie Hobson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were Roy Ward, Udonall Spell, Frank Devine, Merrill Winstead, Billy Joe Gilmore, and Snow Ables.
