Born Jan. 10, 1910, in the Uniontown area, she was the daughter of
the late Grant S. and Bertha V. (Angel) Baker. She was married for
67 years to Levi J. Frock.
She was a member of the Taneytown Senior Citizens and was a
longtime writer for The Pilot and
The Carroll Record. She was a lifetime member of the Mayberry
First Church of God, as well as a longtime Sunday School teacher,
church camp counselor and church secretary.
In addition to her husband, she
is survived by daughters Viola Adkins of Taneytown and Mary Carl
of Mayberry; sons Robert Frock
and Charles Frock, both of Taneytown; a sister, Ethel Selby, of
Westminster; a brother, J. Thomas
Baker of Taneytown; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren;
nine great-grandchildren; seven
step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mayberry
First Church of God, with her pastors, the Revs. Robert Wills Jr. and
Herbert Myers, presiding. Interment will be in the Church of God
Cemetery, Uniontown. The family will receive friends on
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Skiles Funeral Home, 136 E.
Baltimore St., Taneytown, and Tuesday at the First Church of
God one hour prior to services.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Mayberry
First Church of God, care of David M. Carl, 4 Franklin St., Taneytown
