Nora and her parents came to Young County, Texas from Hill County, Texas in a covered wagon. It took four days to make the trip. They brought two mules, a horse and a few belongings. Six children made the trip with ages ranging from one year to 10 years. The family arrived at their farm, three miles east of Olney on 14 October 1907 where they farmed their 160 acres of land. In 1917, the family purchased another 160 acres of land. The family moved into Olney, Texas in 1925 but continued to farm the land.

Nora Atchley met Caleb Wright as schoolmates in the old Olney school located just south of the present Olney Gin. They were married 15 August 1909 in the home of the bride's parents, with the bride's grandfather, Rev. W.L. Leatherwood officiating the service.

The couple lived on the Campbell Ranch and in 1910 moved to Parker county. In 1911, they moved to Hillsboro and in 1913, they moved back to the Olney area.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Esther Wright, 88, a longtime Olney, will be in First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Becknal, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Wright was active in the First Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Olney Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include three sons.; four daughters; two sisters; two brothers; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
