Funeral services for Lorene "Lori" Jones of Mountain Home, will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 11, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Siegfried Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Lori died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Kindred Hospital South in Oklahoma City, OK. at the age of 79. She was born September 12, 1930 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ralph and Zella Henderson Holland. She was raised by Ralph and Margie Holland and married Guy Jones on December 21, 1949 at Newport, Rhode Island. She raised 5 children as a Navy wife, living in Rhode Island; Brunswick, Georgia; Key West, Florida; Puerto Rico; Norfolk, Virginia and Memphis, Tennessee. Lorene moved to Mountain Home in 1972 from Memphis, Tennessee. She worked as a Food Service Manager for the Holiday Inn, Mountain Home and Ramada Inn, Eureka Springs. She was one of the founders and led the effort to establish The Ozark Community Home and worked tirelessly for the residents as president of its board of directors.

Lorene is survived by 2 daughters, Guyla (Gary) Mayo of Oklahoma City, OK and Cindy (John) Lantier of Helendale, CA; 1 son, Richard (Karen) Jones of Harrison, AR; 3 Grandchildren, Guy (Melissa) Mayo of Lewisville, TX, Alex Mayo of Oklahoma City, OK and Bobby Jones of Mountain Home, AR and 1 sister, Darlene Terry of Tuscaloosa, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Ronald, and 1 daughter, Evelyn.

Burial will be in the Douglas Cemetery with Doyle Conway, Guy Mayo, Alex Mayo, Bobby Jones, Max Terry and Zane Terry as pallbearers. Elizabeth Terry and Truman Smith will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Ozark Community Home, 201 Dodd Creek Rd., Mountain Home, AR 72653.
