Patrick H. Maxwell age 86, of Big Rapids passed away February 20, 2010 at Mecosta County Medical Center in Big Rapids. He was born on April 1, 1923 to Robert and Alfreda (MacDaniel) Maxwell in Hope Township, MI where he was raised. On June 26, 1943 he married Marcella Bailey in Hope Twp. Before moving to Big Rapids in 2000 he enjoyed farming and raising cattle in the Barryton and Chippewa Lake areas for 39 years. His dog Rex was a great protector of Patrick and brought joy to his life.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marcella in 1999, daughter-in-law Jeanette Maxwell, 2 grandchildren; Sheri and Patrick H. Maxwell III, 4 sisters, 2 brothers.
