Bree C. Johnson
Bree C. Johnson, 76, of 1208 Harmon Ave., a former painter and decorator, died at 8:10 p.m. yesterday (Nov. 14, 1962) in Lakeview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient one day. He had been ill two years.
He had resided at the Harmon Ave. address for 36 years.
Born in Blount Township July 17, 1885, he was a son of Isaac and Elizabeth Karney Johnson. He was married in Danville Feb. 20, 1918, to Ethel L. Huffman, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert of Danville; two brothers, Howard of Danville, and Hughie of Hoopeston; a sister, Mrs. Edith Husselbee of Los Angeles; a granddaughter, Patricia and a grandson, Martin both of Danville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Hunting and fishing constituted his hobbies.
He had been a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church for 50 years. He also was member of the Painters Local and had served as its treasurer for 25 years.
The body is at the Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edgar Houldridge officiating. Burial will be in Johnson cemetery northwest of Danville.
