Aaron Gosso, a resident of this vicinity since the '70's, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.D. Hall, on Monday morning of this week, after suffering for several months with cancer on his chin and throat. Some months ago he underwent an operation with the hopes of being cured and for time it was thought a cure had been effected, but such was not the case as it soon came back and resulted in his death.

Funeral service were held from the Hall home at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, Rev. Bridwell officiating. The Masonic Order of this city had charge of the ceremonies, as he was a member of the Enid, Oklahoma, A.F. & A.M. Lodge.

Aaron Gosso was born in Osewago, New York, on November 18th, 1835, and died November 20th, 1916, at the age of 81 years and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Amanda Castle in 1857, at Delavan, Wisconsin, and to this union three sons, Fred, Verne and Alonzo, and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Hall, were (next few words were unreadable) some years ago and the other son lives at Dallas, Oregon. For some years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Hall.
