Harold Marriott, 40, of Estherville was found dead in a cornfield about a mile north of that town Saturday [November 25, 1950] afternoon. He had gone hunting earlier that day and had evidently stumbled while walking through the corn stalks and his gun was discharged. He was shot in the chest. His wife and four children survive.
