Lillian Cykler-Veith was born to Joseph and Emma Cykler on the farm in Morrison, Colorado. She attended the Catholic institution at Lorreto Heights. Upon graduation she applied for a teaching job in Stoneham, Colorado and got the job. There she met and married Charles F Christensen (1918). Not long after, Charles was kicked by a horse and died on the way to the hospital. Lillian kept on teaching. In 1935 she married Abe Veith. They moved to the Greeley area then on to Lyons, Colorado. Lillian passed away August 6, 1985 and was buried at the Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, next to Abe.
