Olive Marie Martinez was born December 11th 1937 in Sterling, Colorado to Abraham Veith and Lillian Cykler as one of 3 children. She married Juan Julian Martinez on March 1st 1975. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband. She is survived by her sister, 3 children Gladys(Oscar), Miranda and Kevin(Gina), her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Reynolds.

Olive was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always giving, and making sure that everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed knitting, painting and collectibles. Family history was very important to Olive, documenting her life for her family to have to pass on to future generations. The light of her life was her husband and family, raising 2 daughters and a son and as time went on, watching her grandchildren come along. As Olive grew older, she enjoyed watching game shows and western movies. Olive had many pets throughout her life, but none more beloved than her Shea.

Olive grew up in Evans, then Lyons, Colorado, graduating high school in Lyons. Most of her later years were spent in Lafayette and Thornton, Colorado.
