FOUR EGLIN FIELD FLIERS ARE KILLED
Four Eglin Field fliers were killed in the crash of a plane during a combat training Flight, Brig. General Grandison Gardner, the commanding general, reported.
The plane crashed shortly after noon, Saturday. The dead are:
(1) Lt. Bryce Lee Anderson, Hollywood, Florida (2151 Pierce St)
(2) SSgt Dale T. Jackson, Longmont, Colorado.
(3) Sgt Russell L. Boyer, Los Angeles, California (4015 Delmar Avenue)
(4) Corp Burton J. Manerhuis, Holland, Michigand (212 West 10th Str)
SSgt Jackson and Mrs. Jackson resided at the DeFuniak Hotel cottage, and they have one child. Mrs. Jackson and a friend, Mrs. Earl Asping, accompanied the remains to the Jacksons' former home in Colorado, where burial services will be held."
