Edward F. Timmins, 64, Hanover R.4., Edge Grove, died Sunday morning at 12:55 o'clock in the Hanover Hospital. Death, according to Coroner Lester J. Sell, was due to a pulmonary embolism.
Mr. Timmins, who had been employed as a foreman by the Hanover Cordage company, was injured in an accident which occured onMarch 23 at the cordage mill. He suffered a fracture of the left ankle when a bale of jute fell on his leg while he and another workman were engaged in loading bales on a truck. He had been a patient at the Hanover hospital for three days following the accident, was discharged and was returned to the institution on Saturday morning about 8:30 o'clock.
He was the son of the late James and Anna Sneeringer Timmins. His wife, Carrie Livelsberger Timmins, died September 25, 1945. Surviving are six children, Raymond and John E. Timmins and Mrs. John Poist, Hanover R.4, Mrs. James Slagle, Main Street, Mcsherrystown, and Miss Marie and James Timmins, at Home; 22 grandchildren, and one brother John H. Timmins, McSherrystown.
Funeral services Wednesday morning with brief services at his late residence at 8:30 o'clock, followed by a requiem mass at 9 o'clock in Conewago chapel, the Rev. Harold E. Keller, celebrant. Interment in Conewago Chapel Cemetery.
