Dee Lowarnes Funeral Held

Nixon-Funeral services were held recently for Dee lowarnce, 64, Kenedy, who died in a Kenedy hospital after a long illness.
He had been employed at the Kenedy post office from 1920 until he retired June 15, 1953.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church of Kenedy.
Officiating at the services were the Rev. Lewis Wilkins of Kenedy, and Rev. Campbell of Yorktown, the funeral was held at the Chase Chapel in Kenedy. Burial was in the City cemetery in Kenedy.
Pall bearers were the emplyees of the Kenedy port office.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mattie Lowarnce, one daughter, Miss Bess Lowarance of San Antonio, one brother, M. L. Lowarnce of Waco, two sisters, Mrs. Birdye Baker of Nixon, and Mrs. Etta Walltrip of Anthony New Mexico.
Some of those attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Burt Billings, and James, Mrs. Birdye Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Billings of Nixon; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kubala and sons of Hallettsville, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Billings and Cathy of Kerville, Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Baker and daughter, Mrs. Henry Beeker of Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Lowarance, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lowarance and daughter of Waco; J. W. Waltrip of Beuamont, Mr. and Mrs. John Billings of Victoria; Mr. and Mrs. Otis Billings and Robert, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Baker and daughter of Yorktown.
