Final Rites Saturday For James Lowrance

Nixon-James Thomas Lowarance died at 12:30 p.m., Nov. 10, with a heart atack at his home. Jimmy, as he was known, was born Feb. 23, 1887, and at the time of his death he was 63 years, eight months, and 17 days old. He was in World War I. The body laid in state at the Mennenga Funeral chapel. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the chapel, at 2:30 with Rev. D. L. Gibson in charge. Burial was in the Billings cemetery at Nopal.
He leaves two brothers, Luther of Houston and W. D. of Kenedy three sisters, Mrs. Etta Waltrip of Anthony, N. M., Mrs. Emma Hutcheson of Farmersville and Mrs. Birdie Baker of Nixon, whom he made his home with. Three brothers, one sister and his parents preceded him in death.
