Rites for Harry Stoeffler

Harry J. Stoeffler, 85, of Guttenberg, passed away at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, with Msgr. Donald Sweeny officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Stoeffler, Jim Krapfl, Tom Tujetsch, Duwane Matt, Mike Tujetsch and Gene Tujetsch.

Joined In Wedlock.

This (Thursday) morning, June 14, 1917, at nine o'clock, at St. Mary's Church in this city occurred the marriage of Miss Hilda Theresa Fassbinder and Mr. Harry John Stoeffler, both of Guttenberg. Rev. J. H. Brinkman performed the marriage ceremony in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Miss Florence Stoeffler, sister of the groom, and Mr. Hubert Fassbinder, brother of the bride, both of Guttenberg, were the attendants. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Henry Fassbinder, of this city. She grew to young womanhood here and is an attractive and accomplished young lady and possessed a winning way that endears her to all her acquaintances and will make a loving wife for her husband. The groom is a son of Mrs. Mary Stoeffler, of Guttenberg. He was born and grew to manhood here and is a young man of exemplary habits and of a pleasing personality, who is held in high regard by all in this community. For several years and at the present time has has a position at the Gilbertz & Schmid meat market in this city. He is an ambitious and trustworthy young man in every respect. The Press joins a large circle of friends of the happy couple in wishing them an abundance of success in all that is good in life, as they are both most worthy young people. A reception is being held in honor of the happy young couple, at which a number of guests are present, at the home of the bride's mother. They will make their home in this city. The young couple will leave tomorrow for Chicago, where they will spend their honeymoon.
