Mrs. Elma Elizabeth Borders, 80, of 101 Jones Road, Calhoun, died Thursday (Nov. 1, 1990) at her residence, following a long illness. Mrs. Borders was born in South Carolina, Jan. 26, 1910, a daughter of the late William Thomas Edgeworth and Eva Eugenia Burch and had lived in Calhoun for a number of years. She was a member and past secretary of the Hillhouse Garden Club and was a former employee of Allstate Insurance Co. She was a widow of Lynn Borders and also was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Priscilla Anne Mone. Survivors include son-in-law Angelo Mone of Plainfield, N.J.; a sister, Val Camlin of Georgetown, S.C., and granddaughter, Amy Lee Mone. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday (Nov. 2, 1990) from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Carleton Pridgen conducting the service. Interment was in Fain Cemetery with Thomas Funeral Home of Calhoun in charge of arrangements....
