J. F. Edgeworth
RUBY--James Frederick Edgeworth, 78, died Sunday (March 28) in Chesterfield County Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Miller-Rivers Funeral Home with burial in Chesterfield Cemetery.
Mr. Edgeworth, a native of Chesterfield County, was a son of the late William Thomas and Eva Burch Edgeworth. He was in the watchmaking and jewelry business in Pageland and Ruby.
He served with the National Guard during the Mexican border incident.
Surviving are three sisters: Mrs. R. G. Haddon (Edith) of Charlotte; Mrs. Lynn Borders (Elma) of Calhoun, Ga.; and Mrs. L. S. Camlin (Val) of Georgetown; and two brothers: Dr. T. W. Edgeworth of Johnsonville and R. L. Edgeworth of Norfolk, Va.

Also, on Summit County, Ohio Marriage Records, 1940-1980 for Mary Ruth Edgeworth, 1933-1941 Volumes 66-85 found in Volume 83, 1940-1941 for her marriage to James H. Forester on February 14, 1941 there is a statement by Mary Ruth Edgeworth's Mother, Iris Thompson Edgeworth. Iris Thompson Edgeworth states in court that she gives marriage permission for her minor daughter, Mary Ruth Edgeworth, who is age 18 at the time of the marriage to James H. Forester. Iris Thompson Edgeworth further states that she and James Frederick Edgeworth were divorced in 1927 in Chesterfield County, S. C. and that she was given full custody of Mary Ruth Edgeworth since, to her knowledge, Mr. Edgeworth returned to Chesterfield County, S. C.
