Elsie May Randol married Jesse Orville Bailey on Dec. 19, 1917. They were the parents of five children: Clyde, Mildred, Raymond, Anna and Janice. Her obituary below reads that her mother's name was Ella (Adams) Randol - her true name was Louellen Adams, daughter of Justice of the Piece in Hendricks County William J. Adams & Priscilla Jane Owens (m. Kersey 1st). William Francis Randol, her father, married several times. Louellen was William's 2nd wife (m. 5 July 1900) and is often confused with Louella B. Fields, daughter of Joseph C. Fields, who was William's 1st wife (m. 22 May 1895). Louellen died in 1904 in front of Ralph & Elsie during the birth of her 3rd child.

Elsie May Bailey, age 97, Crawfordsville, formerly of Lizton and New Ross, died December 6 (1998) at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville.

Services were December 9, 2 pm, at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, with Rev. Raymond Duff officiating. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.

Born April 1, 1901 in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of William and Ella (Adams) Randol. She attended school at Max. A homemaker, she was the widow of J. Orville Bailey who preceded in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde Bailey of Indianapolis and Raymond Bailey of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Mildred Stoner of Indianapolis, Lucille Garrett of Crawfordsville and Janice Campbell of Mooresville; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A brother, Raymond Randol, preceded.
