Elizabeth McCoin was born in North Carolina, June 28, 1845. She , with her parents, moved to Greenwood Co., Kans. in 1865 and settled near Quincy, Kans., on May 28, 1866 she was married to Taylor Osburn and to this union five children were born, two sons, three daughters one daughter died in infancy and Mrs. Cora Watts died Oct. 30, 1921.
Mrs. Osburn departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie McElroy, Acadia, Kan. Feb. 8, 1924, age 78 years 7 months, and 10 days. She leaves two sons, Walter Osburn of Seattle, Washington, Fairy Osburn of Burlington, one daughter Carrie McElroy, of Acadis, Kans., 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Mrs. Osburn was convereted in childhood and joined the Methodist Church. She united with the United Brethren Church at Quincy, Ks., in 1903.
Her husband departed this life in 1890.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. J. Cook in the Quincy U. B. Church at 2 p.m. Feb. 10, 1924.
Interment was made in the Virgil Cemetery.
