Josie B. Lineberry,
99, of Rt. 2, Woodlawn, died at Blue Ridge Highlands Nursing Home Thursday, Oct. 3, 1985.
She was born in Carroll County Oct. 7, 1885, to George Littreal and Flora Patton Littreal. She was the widow of Ralph W. Lineberry.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Talmadge (llene) Perry and Mrs. Theron (Verla) Stoneman, both of Woodlawn; Mrs. Elmer (Mayme) Robinson and Mrs. J.A. (Faye) Cooley, both of Galax; and Mrs. Eldon (Guyda) Hackler and Mrs. Carson (Kate) Harmon, both of Roanoke; one son, J.C. Lineberry, Galax; two step-brothers, Haney Hodges, Cripple Creek, and Lindsey Hodges, Ivanhoe; 19 grandchildren16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 in the chapel at Vaughan-Guynn
Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Lee Adams, the Rev. Sammy Burnett and the Rev. Eldridge Sharp officiated.
Interment took place in the Hebron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the laurel Rescue Squad.
