Guyda Lineberry Hackler, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday evening, May 13, 2014.

Mrs. Hackler was a lifelong homemaker. She was a devoted member of Fairview United Methodist Church and an avid sports enthusiast with bowling as her favorite. Greatest of all she was a doting mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her joy along with many friends in the area.

She was the loving wife of Eldon Hackler for 60 years at his passing on May 13, 2003 and was preceded in death by son, Bobby Dean Hackler.

Our mother will be missed by; a daughter, Carolyn and son-in-law, Ken Crawford of Asheboro, NC; a son, Mark Hackler and daughter-in-law, Vicky of Haymarket, VA; five grandchildren, Eric Crawford of Raleigh, NC and his wife, Annie; Caroline, Evan and Lauren Hackler of Haymarket; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Crawford, of Raleigh.

Mrs. Hackler is also survived by her sister, Kate Harmon Angle of Salem, VA; sister-in-law, Jewel Lineberry of Galax, VA; brother-in-law, Dean Hackler of Galax, VA along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children Hospitals, c/o Kazim Temple, 628 Campbell Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24016 or RMH Palliative Care Unit.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, from Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Donald W. Baldwin will officiate. Interment services will be in Monta Vista Memorial Gardens, Galax, at 2 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Oakey's North Chapel, Roanoke. {362-1237}
