Ursula Bigham was the daughter of Robert Bigham and Margaret (Clark) Bigham. She married Wilson Bates Aug 21 1851 in Bedford Co., TN which was only a month before they left Tennessee in a wagon train with other Bigham family members for Bell County, TX.
They lived in Tennessee Valley and had five children: Margaret (Anderson), Robert Isaiah, Mary Josephine(Morris & Williams), Sarah Emily, and Wilson Franklin.
Family tradition is she died about 1864 and was buried in Tennessee Valley. Her grave was moved to Resthaven Cemetery when the Belton Dam was built and is unmarked.
