Billie P. McQueen, Sr., 73, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 18, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Mausoleum entombment will be in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, Lee's Summit, MO. Friends may call from 9 to 10:00 a.m. Monday at the chapel where a Masonic service will be held at 10:00 a.m. The family suggests contributions to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society . Billie was born September 18, 1937, in St. Joseph, MO, to Wallace E. and Lillian E. (Walker) McQueen and had lived in this area most of his life. He retired as a Millwright for AT&T. He was both a Marine Corps and Army veteran. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #5789, American Legion Post #499, the D.A.V., Masonic Lodge #337 and Ararat Shrine Center. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Marilyn McQueen of the home, 2 sons, Billie P. McQueen, Jr. and Mark A. McQueen both of Colorado, 4 daughters, Celissa Conrad of Colorado, Stephanie Leary and Heather Wait both of Missouri, Allison Hope of Louisiana, brothers, Gene Bannhan, Carl McQueen and Clifford Lynch, a sister, Wynona Ingram, 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
