Jerry E. McQueen, 66, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home in Olathe, Kansas. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, September 28th, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm in Frazier Cemetery, Gower, Missouri. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday, at the funeral home. The family requests that any contributions be made to Olathe Hospice, or Cancer Action.

Jerry was born February 5, 1949 to Wallace and Pauline (Hayes) McQueen in Saint Joseph Missouri, where he lived until moving to the Kanas City area in 1986. He worked as a Heating & Cooling Technician as well as an Electrician, when he Owned and Operated Plaza Heating and Cooling, which he left to become an Over the Road Truck Driver. A 15 Year Member of Teamsters Local 41, Jerry drove for Farmland and then for Allied Systems, before retiring in 2014. Jerry enjoyed watching classic western movies. He also loved carpentry work and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kevin; his stepson, Art Drury; as well as several other family members.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Linda McQueen of the home; 2 daughters, Lori McCleary and her husband Rick of Holden, Missouri, and Kathy Tabor and her husband Bobby of Kansas City, Missouri; 2 brothers, Clifford Lynch and his wife Letty of Independence, Missouri, and Harold David McQueen of Missouri; 2 sisters, Carol Cluck and husband Roger of Wathena, Kansas, and Madeline of Missouri; a brother-in-law, John E. Nolan, Jr of Kansas City, Kansas; as well as 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
