OBITUARY
The town was terribly shocked Wednesday morning when it was announced that Oscar Wilson had died the night before. But very few knew that he was sick, but he had been confined to his room a few days with influenza, and Tuesday afternoon pneumonia set up and he only lived a few hours. Oscar was born and raised here and had many friends who regret his demise just as he was entering man's estate, but the grim reaper is no respector [sic] of persons, and applies his scythe where least expected. The remains were followed by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, and laid to rest in the family lot in Doaksville Cemetery. The funeral services were held at the grave by Elder Jack Foster, of Paris. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. To his father, and family we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
