Arthur Franklin and his brother, Clyde Remington Hutchins bought land in the area of Millward in Aikin county, Minnesota. They donated some property for a post office and so the community was named Arthyde in their honor.
Art eventually went back to his birth home in Iowa, while Clyde stayed on and raised his family. Clyde died in 1950 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Moose Lake. His wife, Julia (born Carleton) then moved to Saskatchewan to live with her family. Three children were born to the couple Alta, Bernyce and Burleigh.
