* I want to thank FAG user Carolyn Whitaker for sharing her photo of my Great, Great, Grandmother Elizabeth. I am so happy to have gotten to see a picture of her.
Elizabeth WRIGHT was born 27 October, 1834 somwhere near Davidson County, North Carolina. She was the second oldest daughter of Clayton WRIGHT and Anna SNIDER-WRIGHT.
Sometime between her birth and the year 1850, Elizabeth moved with her family to the Cocke County, Tennessee area. Which was just a little ways over the North Carolina State Line. Close to Cherokee Indian Country. On 26 December, 1854 at the age of 20 years Elizabeth WRIGHT married one Preston W. CLICK, son of George Lewis CLICK and Margaret Peggy JONES. To this union was one child born, a daughter "Julie Ann CLICK", born 17 December, 1855 in Cocke County, Tennessee. The Television series "Christy" by Catherine Marshall was based on the lives of the Click family from Cocke County Tennesse.
In the year 1859, Preston W. Click passed away somewhere in Cocke County, Tennesse. Upon his death his widow Elizabeth CLICK-WRIGHT sold his entire estate and relocated with her father and siblings to Knights Prairie, in Hamilton County, Illinois. It is rumored the family left the Tennessee area via Wagon Train, though I have never seen any positive proof of them doing so.
