Eva Uzelac, a life-long resident of East Moline and Silvis, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, after a brief illness.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visiting hours 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a favorite charity.

Eva was born March 17, 1913, in Assenede, Belgium, to Camiel and Maria VanBeveren, but the family soon immigrated to Sheffield, Ill., and then to East Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete in April of 2000.

She enjoyed the game of golf and was an active member of Pinnacle Country Club for several years. Her main interests, however were her home and family.

Eva is survived by her loving children (and spouses), Steve (Angie), Silvis, and Bonnie (Bill) Moore, Libertyville, Iowa; five dear grandchildren (and spouses), Tyler (Kristin) Dean and Kara (Mike) Reilly, both of Libertyville, Selena (Joe) DeGeeter, Davenport, Matt (Dottie) Beeson, Moline and Mark (Linda) Beeson, Milan; 11 adored great-grandchildren, Hannah, Shane, Kevin and Mickey Reilly, Kendra, Grant, and Greta Dean, Shaley and Kaylyn Maher, Tanner Beeson and Angela Jarrin.
