Denver Otto Reese, 80, of Farmington died on February 21, 1998, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center.

He was born on March 19, 1917, in Bunker, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Ada Jane (Vest) Reese; three sisters, Ina Forsythe, Avis McMillion, and Julia Dalton; two brothers, William Reese and Emery Carl Reese and one grandson, Joshua Kyle Stokes.

Mr. Reese is survived by wife Effie Ruth (Evans) Reese of Farmington, three sons, Lloyd Wayne Reese, Sr., David Reese, and Denver Otto Reese, Jr., all of Farmington, three daughters, Leathea Harris, Martha (Mrs. Richard) Baker and Ina Ruth (Mrs. Dennis Stokes, all of Farmington, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday after 5 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with The Rev. Lindell Richardson officiating.

Burial was at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
