He married Mary Green, of Onondaga county, NY, and by her had a family of seven children - William A, John F, Permelia L, Ezra V, Morgan S, Bertha and Floyd. He is a carpenter and farmer and owns a farm of fifty-two acres. He has been postmaster for twenty years, and also held the office of assessor, school director and town clerk. His father, William, was born in Washington county, NY, in 1798, and married Permelia Eddy, of Oneida county, NY. They had a family of three children born to them - Corydon S, Benjamin F, and Ichabod."
