Atriss Luvene Pollard Turner, 80 died Monday, October 23, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She was a member of Mullins Station Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Walton. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence L. Turner; three children, Carolyne Turner of Memphis, Pat Long of Hernando, MS, and William L Turner. Sisters: Wanda Gahagan, Barbara Joann Myracle and Palma English; three brothers, John Ray Pollard, James Robert Pollard, and Dwayne Pollard; nine grand-children and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 25 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 26 at the funeral home with entombment to follow. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or to Breast Cancer Research.
