Lizzie Fields was the daughter of George and Mary Sheeks Fields. She married Willis Kilburn on Aug. 12, 1901, in Martin Co., IN.

DEATH REMOVES FORMER MARTIN COUNTY WOMAN

Bedford, March 29.--Mrs. Lizzie Kilburn, 40 years old, wife of Willis R. Kilburn and sister of Attorney Albert J. Fields of Bedford, passed away at her home in Indianapolis Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock following a two years' illness.

Lizzie Kilburn, daughter of Geo. and Mary Fields, was born in Martin county, May 9, 1881. Her childhood was spent in that county. The family moved to Shoals in 1889 and most of her school life was spent at this place, she having been graduated from the high school in 1900.

She became a member of the Christian church at Shoals at the age of sixteen and was a member of this denomination at the time of her death.

She was married to Willis R. Kilburn and to this union four children were born, Mary Lorena, Carl Henry, Lillian Elizabeth and Robert Gleason. All of her immediate family , together with three sisters, Mrs. David Leonard, of Indianapolis, Mrs. William Lynch, of Mitchell, Mrs. Dale Beeler, of Indianapolis, and one brother, Mr. Albert J. Fields, of Bedford.
