Adolpf Axel Carlson is the oldest of four kids born to his parents. He marries Obea Rasmussen in 1929. They have one son together. Adolf lives to age 85, dying in 1988.

Adolph Axel Carlson was born on October 13, 1902, to Axel and Augusta (Bengston) Carlson in Yellow Medicine county, Minnesota. He was the oldest of their four children.
Adolph was united in marriage to Obea Rasmussen on April 16, 1929. To this union one son, Vernon, was born.
Before farming the Carlson farm, Adolph worked for the County Highway Department for four years. While farming, he also sold car and hail insurance, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In 1965 when he retired, they moved to Dawson, but still helped others until his health started to fail. On August 6, 1984 Adolph entered the Johnson Memorial Home and resided there until his death on Saturday, February 6, 1988.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Obea on June 29, 1987. He is survived by one son, Vernon, brother Fingal, sisters Edith Anderson, all of Dawson, and Hildur (Mrs. Algot) Knutson of Amery, WI, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Adolph were held on Wednesday, February 10, 1988 at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Covenant Church with Rev. Bruce Thorson officiating. Special music was sung by Robert Hanson, with the hymn "Abide With Me" sung by the congregation. Organist was Mrs. Janis Hanson.
Burial was in the Dawson Covenant Church Cemetery. Casket bearers were Wilford Miller, Wallace Miller, Charles Simonson, Donald Lindblad, Kenneth Anderson, and Curtis Carlson.
Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home of Dawson was in charge of funeral arrangement.
