Roy Roger Brungardt, 33, 1205 Elm, died Sunday, Aug. 12, from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was born on Aug. 3, 1951, in Hays to Lawrence and Alexia (Herman) Brungardt, Sr.

He grew up in the Victoria area and was a graduate of Victoria High School. He also was a graduate of Fort Hays State University. He was employed as a construction worker by the Manhattan Construction Co., Wichita.

Survivors include a daughter, Joy, and a son, Martin, both of Liebenthal; his parents, Gorham; two sisters, Margaret Schmidt, Hays, and Jacqueline Tatum, Midwest City, Okla.; and two brothers, Lawrence Jr., Hays, and Samuel, St. Paul, Minn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Clem Neaf officiating; burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Emmeram. A parish wake service and rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Friends may visit at Cline's from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Cline's.
