Son of Walter Steward Beane (1885-1954) and Alice Matilda Smith (1895- ).
Married Alice Stella Virginia Haines 18 May 1946 at Oakland, Kennebec, Maine.

Following bio is from 'A Genealogical and Biographical Record Concerning Phebe (Reed) Trott and John Trott and All of Their Descendants to January 1, 1954," published by Worrall Dumont Prescott, 1954:

"Roy attended the grade schools in Norridgewock, Maine, and Bingham High School in Bingham, Maine. During World War II he served in the U. S. Army Medical Corps. He entered the service Oct. 30, 1942 and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant on Jan. 13, 1946. Eight months of his army service was spent in the U. S. and the rest overseas, including New Caledonia and the Philippines. He has the following medals: Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon; Philippine Liberation Button; Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. Before entering the army he had been employed by Don Fog Company of Portland, Maine, and had operated an "Overhead Shovel." He is presently employed as a Mechanic by Hight Chevrolet Company in Skowhegan, Maine."
