BLACKVILLE — Funeral services for Edward Shelly Bolen, 72, will be held three p.m. Sunday, February 10 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. the Revs. Floyd Dukes and David O'Donnell will be officiating. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m. Saturday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Edward died Friday, February 8, 2008, at his home.
Born in Augusta, GA, he was a son of the late Jerry McDuffie Bolen and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sanders Bolen. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Bonetta Sanders Bolen of the home, daughters, Terri (Francis) Sanders, Deborah (Tab) Bonidy, Judi Bolen and Christine Morris, sister, Brenda B. (Cleveland) Morris, brothers, D.H. "Byrd" (Dot) Bolen, Bates (Penny) Bolen, Norman Bolen, Ronnie (Juliette) Bolen, ten grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Gregory Bolen; sister, Essie Hair; brothers, Henry, Jimmy and Jerry "Little Mac" McDuffie Bolen.
