Margaret Mitchum Rumph, of Grover, SC, widow of George Rumph, Sr., entered into eternal rest July 2, 2013, in Aiken, SC.

Margaret was born August 6, 1934 in Sumter, SC, the daughter of John William and Mallie Hines Mitchum. She was a former seamstress for Carolina Girls Wear, a member of Grover United Methodist Church and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Williston, SC.

Margaret was first married to the late Norman McCoy Rumph and was predeceased by sisters; Thelma M. Smith, and Judy M. Myers.

Surviving are a daughter, Patsy (David) Mackey of Ponca City, OK; two nieces that she raised as her daughters, Gail Smith (Terry) Brownlee of Harleyville, SC, and Brenda Smith (Douglas) Byrd of Round O, SC; sister, Betty Mitchum Rourke of Barnwell, SC; brother, Richard Wallace (Connie) Mitchum of Windsor, SC; brother-in-law, Jimmie Cecil Myers of Summerville, SC; step-children, George Jr., Sharon, and Catherine; nine grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren; and special friends, Margie Jackson, Annette Utsey and Hattie Jamison.
