Wilma R. Ordway Dies at Age 85
Wilma R. Ordway, wife of Kaiser Industries vice president A.B. Ordway, died yesterday in Merritt Hospital in Oakland, She was 85.
Born in Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Ordway attended schools in Marshalltown, Iowa, where she met and married her husband, the first employee hired by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser.
In 1921, the Ordways relocated on assignment from Kaiser to the East Bay, where the present family residence is 104 Dudley avenue, Piedmont.
Last year Mrs. Ordway shared the spotlight when her husband, still an active executive at 82, was honored by Kaiser Industries Corporation at a testimonial dinner in Oakland.
In addition to Mr. Ordway, she is survived by a son, Edward R. Ordway, a vice president of Kaiser Services, a daughter, Mrs. J.B. Klukkert of Flossmoor, Illinois, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Mountain View Mausoleum Chapal, 5000 Piedmont avenue, Oakland. Entombment will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seal Society for Crippled Children and Adults of Alameda County, 2757 Telegraph avenue, Oakland."
