William Helvie Passed Away At His Home Near Anoka Last Night
Funeral Tomorrow At 1 O'Clock Under Auspices Of Anoka Lodge Of I.O.O.F.
William Helvie, of Tipton Township, died at his home near Anoka last night at 10:30 o'clock with paralysis. Mr. Helvie was a highly respected citizen and well known throughout Cass County.
He was 78 years old and leaves a family of one son, his wife having died about four years ago.
He was stricken with paralysis about three years ago, but recovered so as to be around until about a year ago, when he became confined to his bed. He was the oldest of a family of nine children, of which the following are still living; Abraham, John and Isaac, all living in Tipton Township; James,
living at Newton, Kansas; Jacob, living at Faith, Arkansas, Samuel S., living in this city; Mrs. John Harrison, of Tipton Township; Mrs. John Fiddler of New Waverly and Mrs. John Puterbaugh, of this city.
The funeral will be held at Anoka tomorrow at 1 o'clock under the auspices of Anoka Lodge No. 630, I.O.O.F.
