Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lanier-Briggs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Candor Cemetery.
A native of Stokes County, he was a retired carpenter, a member of Candor Presbyterian Church and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are son, William Mabe of Little Torch Key, Fla.; brothers, Raleigh Mabe of Mooresville, Glenn Mabe of Asheboro, Vaughn Mabe, Jarvis Mabe, both of Hampton, Va.; sisters, Mrs. Addie Fagge of Asheboro, Mrs. Edna Brown of Troy; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7:30-8:30 p.m. Monday.
