On January 24, 1923, the death angel visited the house of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus P. Mabe of Ether, N.C. and took their dear son Tilden to rest in that home not made with hands and where there is eternal rest.

Tilden was born June 15, 1907, being 15 years,7 months and 9 days old at the time of his death. He had been sick for several weeks, but his condition was not thought serious until a short time before his death. He was an obedient child and devoted brother and was loved by all who knew him. The body was laid to rest in the White Oak Cemetery near Ether, a large gathering of friends and loved ones being in attendance.

The services were conducted by Elder J. A. Fagg, of Winston-Salem.

The deceased is survived by his parents, four sisters and nine brothers, as follows:

Mrs. G. C. Mabe, of Star, N.C.; Mrs. J. R. Bennett, of Danbury Route 1; Mrs. C. A. Fagg, of Campbell; and Miss Alma Mabe, of Ether, N.C.; Messrs. Gorrell, Sandy, Harvey, Raleigh, Glenn, Watson, Javan, Vaughn and Jarvis Mabe, all of Ether.

My God's richest blessings rest upon each member of the family and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved parents.
