Prentice "Spike" Weitman,59

Prentice "Spike" Weitman,59,died, May 20 at Hospice of Savannah. He was a native of Tattnall County, a machinist and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Madge W. Weitman of Reidsville; a daughter, Kimberly Sparks, Plains; one son, Prentice Weitman, Jr., Harper's Ferry, West Virginia; one step-son, Phillip Anderson, Lyons; four step-daughters, Brenda Lacarvus, Tacoma, Wash., Kay Howard, Midway, Dana Anderson, Atlanta, and Shea Stanley, Vidalia; two sisters, Vonice Smith, Lizella and Katie Davidson, Covington: three brothers, David Weitman, Macon, Ronald Weitman, Macon and Kerry Weitman, Cordele; three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Brian Smith, Darrell Weitman, Caleb Hall, Rhett Davidson, Gregory Davidson and Chuck Davidson.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at McCall Funeral Home. Interment was in Watermelon Cemetery near Glennville.

McCall Funeral Home of Reidsville was in charge of arrangements.
