NORTH JUDSON -- Services for Martha Bailey, 75, of Route 2, Box 229, who died of natural causes at 10 a.m. Sunday in the home of her son in DeMotte, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Price & VanGilder Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, North Judson. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today and until services Tuesday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Bailey was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Carver, Ky., and had lived in this area since 1942. On Aug. 24, 1932, in Rensselaer, she married German Bailey, who died Jan. 9, 1970. Surviving are two daughters, Paula Smith of North Judson and Betty Fisher of Knox; five sons, Dave of Schererville, Bill of Knox, Arthur Joe of North Judson, Charlie John of DeMotte and James of Bass Lake; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Risner of Rensselaer, Ocie Risner of Michigan City and Dollie Collins of Knox; and a brother, James Bailey of Lafayette. She had been an employee at Mary's Restaurant in Knox and Weinberg's in Toto.
