At the family residence in Lake township, eight miles from Muscatine, Thursday, April 21, 1892, of old age, Mrs. Peter Haroff, aged 80 years.
The deceased, one of Muscatine County's oldest and most valued residents, was born in Pennsylvania, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Peter Haroff, who survives her. Thirty-seven years ago they came west and settled iin Muscatine county, where they have since resided.
Besides the aged husband, seven childrren-three sons and four daughters-survive. They are John, who lives on the home place; Mrs. Kate Whitmer, of Nebraska; Davidl pf 76 township; William T., of Missouri; Elizabeth, at home; Mrs. Sarah Rowland of Pike township, and Mrs. eva C. Garrett of New York.
The funeral took place Saturday at 11 o'clock a.m., from St. john's Chapel, High Prairie, of whih deceased was a faithful member.
