Son of Andrew Whisennand and Susanah Long buried this cemetery; married Alice Amelia Packard on 09/06/1876 in Buchanan County, IA; Alice was born 09/30/1852 in Brown Co., KY, daughter of Amelia Sprague and Benjamin Packard; upon the death of her father, Benjamin, with four children to raise the mother adopted Alice and a sibling out and they were raised by the Frank Knapp family; George and Alice moved to Sac City, Iowa as pioneers and their first child died of diptheria and is buried there; they moved back to near Troy Mills where George died of pneumonia; Alice then remarried to John ball in the home of her in-laws Andrew and Susanah on 03/28/1881; John was born 1846 Brown County, KY, son of P.F. and Maria W. (Knapp) Ball; John and Alice moved to Sac County where John died 11/21/1906, age 60, and is buried there; Alice then homesteaded in South Dakota and died 10/16/1924, 72, and is buried in Draper, Jones County, South Dakota; this information is from Lyle Frank Bauman in Malcom, IA; their
children were: Laura Belle Whisennand born 08/29/1877 and died 10/13/1878 of dipterhia buried Sac County, IA; Florence Susanah (Whisennand) Bauman born 07/24/1879 near Troy Mills, Buchanan county, IA; George Theron Ball born __?__; twin to George Ball born __?__ and died __?__; Sarah Ellen (Ball) Hunter who was 98 years old in 1979 in a Pioneer Nursing Home in Vale, Oregon and answered my letter.
