Obituary:
Loretta Swinyer, daughter of Truman and Julian Swinyer, was born May 15, 1882, and departed this life at the age of 67 years, 11 months.
She was born and reared at Gibbon, Neb., and spent nearly her entire life here.
She joined the Methodist Church at the age of 10 years, later transferring her membership to the Evangelical U. B. Church. She was an active member of church when her health permitted.
On June 26, 1905, she was united in marriage to Louis Willard Corlis. To this union were born two children, Cecil and Lettie.
Her son, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother. Her happiest moments were when she was helping others.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Willard; one daughter, Mrs. Lettie Hendrickson, one sister, Mrs. Harriet Humbert, all of Kearney; three brothers, Abraham of Kearney, E. J. of Sheridan, Wyo., Marble of Baker, Ore., four grandsons, three great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
